Michelle Rowland is an experienced community leader with over 15 years in settlement services, community development, and social justice advocacy. She holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from Swinburne and a Master’s in Social Work from Monash University.

Michelle has led government-funded and philanthropic programs supporting diverse communities and has a strong track record in building cross-sector partnerships, securing funding, and driving inclusive policy change—particularly in multicultural engagement and family violence prevention.

She is passionate about IBY Vision Foundation’s mission to connect young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with mentors who reflect their lived experiences. Michelle believes that every young person deserves strong role models, encouragement, and access to career pathways that build confidence and self-belief.

At IBY, she leads community engagement and partnerships to help scale our impact and deepen our connections across schools and communities.
