Huma Handa
Storytelling & Communications Lead
Huma Handa is a freelance content writer who has not shied away from wearing different hats. She holds a Master’s in French and is also a translator and teacher. With a post graduate diploma in journalism and communication, she has written content for a music magazine, newspapers, landing pages for websites, promotional material for baby products, real estate, and technical support. She has edited financial report publications as well as proofread a novel published by Penguin India. She has worked in administrative and HR roles, having successfully mentored and placed a hundred students in corporate and government jobs within a year, in India. She strives to keep learning and reinventing herself.
Having worked extensively with children and youngsters, besides raising two sons, she is keenly sensitised to the need to orient them towards self actualisation. IBY holds the promise of effectively directing all youth, especially those at risk of being left behind for lack of prompt and meaningful guidance, onto clear, goal-oriented pathways to success, which she finds highly invigorating.
Huma believes that IBY’s work is the embodiment of her vision for all young people to have equal and equitable access to opportunities, and the necessary support in terms of encouragement, guidance and grooming to enable them to meet and exceed expectations.
As Story telling and Communications Lead, Huma connects IBY’s team and conveys its critical contribution, to the communities it serves, the industry and organisations, its benefactors, and all stakeholders, through the written word.
